I have just recently returned to Austria from a long stint of living in the UK and working as an academic. I have travelled extensively, done research, taught students and studied the world in general. I love engaging with people. I am now an English speaking psychotherapist in Innsbruck, offering counselling and coaching, but also long-term and short-term psychotherapy. I am trained in treating depression, loneliness, addiction, eating disorders, body dysmorphia and trauma-related post-traumatic stress disorder. I have extensive experience with substance abuse and addiction disorders, be it internet and sex addiction, or addition to alcohol, cocaine or marihuana, and last but not least, nicotine.
I hold a PhD from the University of Cambridge in Social Anthropology and have taught at UK-based universities for more than twenty years. I haven also taught and done research in Germany, Austria and the USA. My psychotherapy and couselling training is in Existential Therapy (Viktor Frank, Irvin Yalow, Emmy van Deurzen) and in trauma therapy for adults and for children.
